A Day In The Life – James Ball
My name is James Ball, my job title is an Account Manager here at ACS Office Solutions.
What do you love about ACS?
What I love about ACS is firstly the people, everyone here has a good laugh when they’re working, great productivity and culture around the workplace.
Describe ACS in three words
The three words I would use to describe ACS would be fun firstly, challenging and also family. Everybody here is like a tight-knit community.
What does a typical day look like to you?
A typical day as I’m sure loads of people say, no day is the same, but I’ll come in the office and get straight on with reaching out to my clients, making sure everything is OK with them and ensuring they’re kept up to date with the newest technology and trends in the market.
What excites you the most about the work you do?
I think what excites me the most is keeping up to date with new technologies and informing people around it because as everything moves along, keeping your clients up to date with it ensures their business practices are the most up to date and they’re standing out from their competition. So I quite like that side and being that trusted advisor on that process.
What three people would you take to dinner?
If I could take three celebrities dead or alive to a dinner party I think one would have to be Gazza, Paul Gascoigne would-be class. He’d keep making jokes around everyone I think that would be a good atmosphere to have. Secondly, it’s a bit of an interesting one. Bill Withers, my Granddad’s favourite singer, I love some of his songs, I’d probably just ask him to sing. And then thirdly Karl Pilkington because again I think his dry sense of humour would make me chuckle along the way.
Describe the environment at ACS
If I was to describe the environment of ACS, I think it’s quite lively, it has a bubbly atmosphere when you walk in. There’s a lot of banter across the office as well, people having fun but at the same time, there’s a lot of hard work that goes on within these walls. I think our clients really get the best end of that.
What are your aspirations at work?
My aspirations of work would be to keep progressing as I am and keep making sure my clients are happy and the local community is aware of what ACS can do to assist them. So, keep progressing on that path and go from there.
How do you spend your time outside of work?
Oh, I love loads of things outside of work. I like going to the pub with my mates. A little bit of Karaoke here and there but I also love football, I love playing football, I love watching it. They’re the sort of things I love doing outside of work.
What’s your go-to Karaoke Track?
My go-to karaoke song is Bill Withers, Lean on me. Yeah, I absolutely love it. I don’t even need a backing track, but I’m not going to sing now.
