When I finished school 18 months ago, the decision between having a full-time job and going to university was one that I struggled to make!
However, after finding my apprenticeship through Starting Off, I decided a full-time job would be the way forward.
I feel I have settled in extremely well at ACS and have developed a great relationship with all of my colleagues. I wake up every morning and look forward to taking my seat in the service department, which is always lively, welcoming and fast paced. I strive to please our customers, and aim to ensure that, everyday, we are improving the services that we offer as a department.
By speaking to customers regularly and dealing with situations out of my comfort zone, my confidence has certainly grown. I have recently been promoted to Operations Team Leader, which is a big stepping stone in my career after completing my apprenticeship.
I am very excited about this new role and grateful of the opportunity. I can't wait to see what stage is next.
There is no environment more welcoming than that of ACS house. Above all, the people that I walk in to see everyday are a pleasure to work with and they make everyday fun. And that is what I love about working at ACS the most.
If any of you out there are looking for your first job or are currently in work but need a new challenge, have a look around the ACS website. If you like what you see and think you could add to the ACS family, then get in touch with us here.
The people are friendly, career progression is rife and you really will have fun!
They even brought me a Justin Bieber doll!
