We know that people today connect with digital content more than ever and day by day it is easy to see that more and more people are working on the move. So, unless you are somebody who has been running from the smartphone monster, this shift won't come as much of a surprise. Industry monitor Ofcom, however, has described the news as a “Landmark moment.”
I was reading an article on the Guardian website yesterday and the writer was saying that “Two-thirds of adults now have a smartphone, up from 39% in 2012, and the amount of time we spend using them to go online has risen to one hour and 54 minutes per day.” That is a lot of time per day to be looking at your phone!
It can’t be denied that younger age groups are driving patterns in how we use technology and access the web. However, from a business perspective, no matter what your age, a smartphone gives you the option to be productive from wherever you are, so it isn’t just Generation X, Y, Z (or whatever they are called!) that are breaking boundaries. The right Smartphone can help a business save money, be more efficient and expand the number of markets it can reach.
On a personal level, I really do believe that mobility is key to business success. So, if you aren’t sure where to start with your mobile strategy, talk to ACS about it. Give us a call on 01604 704 014 or come and see us and we will make sure there is a cuppa in it for you!
