Last Thursday myself and John Harley had the pleasure of going to the 2015 Chamber Awards, an annual event organised by the British Chamber of Commerce (BCC).
The evening is considered to be one of the UK’s hotly contested business awards as it takes the opportunity to celebrate the success of businesses from all across the UK as well as the work of 52 accredited local chambers of commerce.
The awards also proved to be the night that our very own Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce would make Chamber Awards history. Not only did the team win "Excellence in Membership Services" for the second year running but they were also awarded "Chamber of the Year."
Myself and John joined the team from the Chamber (pictured below), which also incorporates its associate organisation Milton Keynes Chamber of Commerce, to celebrate the awards at The Brewery, in London.
Reflecting on the brilliant success of the evening, Paul Griffiths, Chief Executive of Northamptonshire Chamber, said: “We are thrilled and proud to win “Excellence in Membership Services” for the second year running and “Chamber of the Year” in the Chamber Awards 2015. I would personally like to thank our entire team, the Board for their support and guidance, local partners and stakeholders and our members and businesses for their support in the last 12 months. This award is well deserved and would not be possible without everyone’s support. Thank you again.”
I know from where I stand there has certainly been a buzz surrounding the chamber after such a brilliant achievement. On behalf of myself and everyone here at ACS, I would like to say a huge congratulations to the team at the chamber, it was a pleasure to be there with you on the evening and I think many will agree it is a thoroughly deserved victory, and one of many more to come.
As a new board member of the Northamptonshire Chamber I could not be more pleased for the team, ACS has been a member for many years now and has benefitted from the hard work and commitment, constant improvement of service and training, and day to day passion of such a well-respected chamber.
So here’s to many more awards, new members and years of creating long lasting business partnerships.
