Connecting your workplace and workforce

The Client

Founded in Bologna (Italy) in 1926, Ducati is a leading manufacturer of high-performance motorcycles. They a presence in many countries across Europe and Asia. In addition to motorcycles, Ducati sells parts, accessories and apparel in 40 countries worldwide.

The Requirement

The core IT infrastructure is key to Ducati’s UK business. The company was looking for a partner to help move it’s existing IT infrastructure forward. They also needed to identify ways to improve system performance and reduce network downtime.

In addition, the knowledge of two impending office moves meant staff at Ducati were unsure of how to address relocating the IT equipment. This is where ACS stepped in to assist.

The ACS solution

To enhance the ongoing support provided by ACS, PIC (Pro-active Information Centre) was implemented. This was to monitor and patch the server and PCs. This would ensure Ducati could be confident of increased system uptime and improved productivity. A technology plan was also put in place, which will see Ducati’s PCs and laptops refreshed on a 3-year rolling replacement.

Recently renewed, the partnership that ACS and Ducati have includes the communication of proactive reports. It also includes feedback every quarter to ensure that systems are up to industry best practice. As a result this allows for any changes to be made if required.

ACS now provides a full range of business services to Ducati. They supply the company with IT and Audio Visual products, as well as keeping in regular contact with external suppliers and the company’s Italian IT department.

“After helping with our recent office move, ACS now provides Ducati with technical support and a stable IT network, which is continuously monitored and maintained. ACS executes every single project with the utmost professionalism, supporting the team at Ducati throughout the whole process.” – Stephanie Chappel, IT & Web Coordinator
