Reading Girls' School is a partially selective school for girls aged 11-16. The school has a simple aim, to be an outstanding school in every sense of the word and to be confident that each of it's students gets a better education there than they would in any other school in Reading. "Succeeding together" is the school's motto, which underpins everything they do.
The school was having a new building added to its grounds and it was decided that the ageing smartboards and interactive projectors should be replaced in fitting with the new building. The senior leadership team wasn't sure whether to simply replace the existing technology with the latest versions or to look at Touchscreen monitors instead. Charles Ainslie, the school's Facilities & Resources manager consulted in the knowledge of his ACS account director to help establish what the best solution would be.
The ACS Solution
We helped the school assess a variety of different touchscreen monitors. Two key factors that had to be considered were budget and usability. For both the staff and students, it was important that the new monitors were easy to use. We provided the school wth demo units of all possible solutions so that they could physically test the options before going ahead with a chosen brand.
Our team were able to guarantee a staggered delivery of the interactive screens to accommodate the school's installation team and certain items were pre-shipped on demand to help the project run smoothly, with as little disruption to school productivity as possible.
The school now has 35, 65" BenQ Interactive Screens that match the new environment, enhance learning experiences for pupils, and allow teachers to easily facilitate engaging lessons.
