In 2018 technology has already changed the way we learn so what does the future hold?

It’s widely acknowledged by business leaders that 85% of the jobs in 2030 don’t even exist yet, therefore it’s hard to know which specific skills will be needed. However, to prepare the children of tomorrow we can focus on new methods of learning – the ability to learn new skills will be incredibly useful in an era of digital transformation.

97% of business leaders believe technology will change the way we learn by 2030.
56% of business leaders agree schools will need to teach HOW to learn rather than WHAT to learn in order to be ready for the jobs that haven’t been created yet.
18-24 year olds are already undertaking informal learning to develop new ways of working and digital skills.
59% of business leaders firmly believe that new learning resources, such as online, peer-to peer, bootcamps and online courses will replace university learning.

Futurists have long envisioned a brighter tomorrow, full of A.I. helpers and automated environments that run on the sound of our voice. Now that we stand on the edge of that reality, it’s time to realise what it requires of us to make this new world work. With immense possibilities on the horizon comes new opportunity. Therefore, we all need to be ready with an appetite for change.
