Claremont Centre is a national office furniture manufacturer based in Glasgow. They have been working in partnership with ACS for more than 10 years.
Claremont needed a complete IT infrastructure refresh to help drive business, improve communication and also provide a consistent user experience across the company. As a result, responsive and reliable IT support was essential! They needed a partner that could offer strategic IT consultancy moving forward.
ACS provided a full IT infrastructure refresh starting from the ground up. Firstly, the project began with new fibre link, new data cabling, a fresh wireless network, new cabinets and also a new internet connection. It was vital these elements we completed first. This was to ensure a strong foundation for the infrastructure layers to follow.
Office 365 with Lync was introduced, new servers were installed with Windows Server 2012. Suitable hardware was also implemented in line with the mobility strategy. Clickshare was then implemented into presentation suites. This created a newly interactive meeting environment for Claremont.
To ensure a high level of support and strategic partnership moving forward Claremont signed a managed service contract with ACS. This included online backup and 24/7 support.
Reflecting on his relationship with ACS today, John Fulton, Director at Claremont, said the best decision he made was to come and see ACS director John Harley. “He stripped everything back and reminded me not to focus on the project as a cost, but to see it as a business investment.
