acs is a business full of people who enjoy coming in to work every day, a testament to the culture and values of a company recently recognised by the Sunday Times as the 49th Best Company to work for in the UK.
From the outset in 1995, acs’s founders chose to build a company with big ambitions that retained small business values. Still privately owned today, acs is a clear example of what can be achieved when like-minded entrepreneurs with vision see a gap in the market and work hard to achieve success.
In the past, companies would turn to separate suppliers for their office furniture, data cabling, computer systems and technical support. acs looked to offer something different by supplying all of these and more. By providing all of these services with in-house teams, acs eliminated the hassle of dealing with multiple suppliers while saving customers money. In recent years acs has added online data backup, hosted IT services, managed IT and audio/visual solutions to the mix, but the goal remained the same; to save customers time, money and hassle.
acs’s customer base is wide and varied and includes businesses of all sizes and industries, public sector bodies and an increasing number of third sector organisations.
In 2009 we were awarded a ‘First Class’ star by Best Companies and earned our second ‘Outstanding’ star in 2010. We were also listed 49th in the Sunday Times Best Companies To Work For 2010. The award - based on anonymous feedback from staff members - reflects acs’s ongoing commitment to its team. In 2009 acs also teamed up with local businesses to launch ‘HOPS’, a new charity which raises money for local charities through business networking events.
Over the years we've been fortunate to have a team worthy of winning several awards - some of which are listed below.
