The
acs team played their first official Twenty20 cricket game last night against Northampton College. Northampton College brought an experienced team and after a shaky start Sunny top scored with 31 followed by James with 23.
acs started with a strong opening bowling partnership of Tom Smyth and Drew Blundell. Drew took 4 wickets and the remaining were shared between the team with Jack taking 3 good catches.
acs had a good chance to reach the total, however they lost early wickets against a very consistent bowling attack with Bond taking 3 wickets, Tony, James and Lovell all taking 2. Jack top scored for
acs with 17 with James scoring 15.
Northampton College won the game with a total of 136.
Both
acs and Northampton College had good support from staff and family and a sunny evening finished with tea prepared by Leanne.
It was a great evening and the
acs team have games against Lambert Smith Hampton and IPSL still to come.
