acs has once again been nationally recognised as one of the country's leading companies to work for.
The company - who specialise in IT and office solutions, and is one of the biggest in the region - has received "3-star" recognition in the latest Best Companies Accreditation Awards, making it one of the UK's leading companies to work for.
The 3-star grading is similar to the prestigious and much sought after Michelin star status given each year to the top restaurants in the country, with three stars at ultimate award. And acs, who employ just under a hundred members of staff at their Brackmills headquarters in the town, have gone up a grade for the third year running.
"This is fantastic news," said managing director Jon Thorpe. "In successive years we've gone from one star to three stars, and I am very proud of our achievement."
Last year acs were named for the first time in the top 50 UK companies to work for in the pretigious Sunday Times list, and this latest news further underlines the committment to staff.
"We take great pride in the satisfaction of our staff - we believe that a happy staff is a productive staff, and our success is a tribute to the wonderful people who work for us, and have helped us grow as we have done over the past 16 years.
"Not only that, our staff have also helped us weather some turbulent economic waters over the past two years, to the point where we have turned the corner, and are moving confidently forward once more."
The Best Companies Accreditation Awards identify the best businesses in the UK to work for, and measure the level of employee engagement in the business.
Best Companies conducts the largest employee engagement survey in the world with more than 3000 organisations participating, and is renowned for its rigorous selection. Companies are rated according to their ability to inspire staff, encourage development, provide excellent customer service and build strong teams.
'Star Status' is determined by the Best Companies Index 'BCI' score and the specific cut-off points for One, Two, and Three Star Accreditation remain constant year-on-year. One star means first class, two stars denotes outstanding and the acclaimed three stars indicates the participant is extraordinary.
